1. About Elluminate at USF

What is Elluminate?

Elluminate is a real-time (synchronous) virtual classroom environment designed for distance education and collaboration in academic institutions.

Elluminate can be used to extend the physical boundaries of a traditional classroom or to add live discussion and dynamic interaction to asynchronous distance learning. The result-engaged students, enhanced learning, and improved comprehension.

Elluminate at USF:
Faculty at USF are able to request Elluminate Virtual Classrooms for use with their USF students at no cost to the faculty, students, or department. USF Faculty and students have been using Elluminate since 2005. Elluminate can also be used by USF staff and administrators for administrative and research meetings. It is also possible to invite non-USF guests to Elluminate sessions.
